International Conference On Child And Adolescent Mental Health

Promoting Children’s Health, Development and Wellbeing: Integrating Cultural Diversity

Faculty of Psychology

Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta

5th – 7th November 2015

Backgrounds
Currently there is a general understanding that the early years of a child’s life are fundamentally important to provide future health (physical and mental), development and wellbeing. This has consequences that a positive start in life may help children to reach their full potential, while a poor start may increase the chances of adverse results. This understanding has been recognized as a high priority and primary goal of policy making in many countries.

However, many children in some parts of the world are still far from being well. They considerably have worse health, poorer developmental and lower learning outcomes. Others live in unfortunate circumstances and generally decrease their wellbeing compare with the others.

In response to this condition, The Faculty of Psychology of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, Indonesia, is inviting scholars, academics, researchers, and NGO members to join in our International Conference. We aim to discuss “Promoting Children’s Health, Development and Wellbeing: Integrating Cultural Diversity” which would be held from the 5th to the 7th of November, 2015.
